Our first grandchild, Colby, arrived this morning. Thought I would post a picture. The new mom, dad, and Colby are doing fine.

For those of you who didn’t meet Chad at the last reunion, the company he works for creates websites for churches all over the world. Chad is in charge of software development and was involved in a project that was recently nominated for a Webby award. Here is a description:

Youthroots nominated for a Webby! Earlier today (April 8th), the nominees for the 2008 Webby Awards were announced, and Youthroots, the youth portal for the Faithstreams Network, was selected as a finalist for the “Religion and Spirituality” award. Dubbed “The Oscars of the Internet,” by the New York Times, the Webby Awards are the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile web sites. Winners will be announced on May 8th.

As some of you may know, my middle son, Eric, is a police officer here in Lexington. Also located in Lexington is the headquarters for an international police/fire supply company called Gall’s, Inc. They put out a hard copy catalogue of their products as well as an internet based catalogue. Eric was selected to be one of the models for the latest catalogue.
