When you view mghs73.com on your mobile device, you’ll now get a view of the site customized to fit your iPhone, Android, Palm Pre, whatever.  Though this allows for faster loading and easier browsing, should you want to switch to the normal view, scroll to the bottom of the page and switch from “mobile” to “full”.  If you want to switch back to mobile, head to the bottom of the “full” site and switch back to “mobile”.

Where will we go next?

Mobile site theme is now live

Hello, class of 1973!  It’s been some time since I last dropped by for a “dose of tech” with my favorite 50-somethings from Mt. Gilead, Ohio who graduated in 1973… I know, insane, right?

In the time since we’ve last spoke, I’ve ended up even deeper into this wonderful world we love/loathe called the internet.  I have gone from a programming position in Lexington, to a Director position in Manhattan, to purchasing a company with my partner, Bill Dotson.  Our company, WebMedley, is solely responsible for what has now happened to MGHS73.com…. or at least, we’re responsible if you like it.  If you hate it, it’s all my dad’s fault… totally his idea.

But for those who like it, it gets better.  In addition to a MUCH more modern design and layout, we’re building a bridge between this site and your online social life.  Our company specializes in literally anything web-related.  This site is a perfect example of our typical client and also a perfect example of what we provide.  Literally everyone and their mother is on Facebook, Twitter, wherever.  It’s getting tougher and tougher to reach everyone without killing yourself doing it.

That’s where we come in!  As of this moment, you can nwo participate with MGHS73.com via Facebook, Twitter, or just by coming here to the site… the old-fashioned way?  I know, so 2008…

Become a fan on Facebook using the link to the top right and all site updates will appear in your Facebook news feed.  Follow the site on Twitter (also via the link on the right) and any updates can be sent to your mobile phone via SMS text… all in real-time.  See an interesting story?  Maybe someone has passed on and you want to send your condolences?  Piece of cake Just come to the site and leave a comment on any page or article without even signing up.  You can either comment as a guest or you can sign in using Facebook, Twitter, OpenID, or even Yahoo!. Then when you comment, you’ll have the option of having it appear on your social web-o-sphere for all of your friends to see, in turn.  I know, it sounds complicated… but really, it couldn’t be simpler or less obtrusive for you to participate now.

As for my company, WebMedley, you can check us out at webmedley.com.  If you or someone you knows needs web design, hosting, online marketing, social media management, or any number of web-related items… well, I hope you’ll send them to your favorite web company that takes care of MGHS73.com…. ;-)

Merry Christmas and enjoy the new site…
