I returned home last night after attending Coach Bremigan’s funeral service at the high school. I did see some MGHS73 classmates…Betsy Gallaher Anderson, John Curtis (and wife, Debbie), and Randy Weber. It was good talking with them, despite the circumstances. The service was very nice, with a half dozen people speaking about Coach Bremigan and his life. After the service Coach Bremigan was taken to the football field where the victory bell was rung by his son, Paul Jr., and two grandsons. His route to the victory bell was through two columns of present MGHS football players on one side and former players from the Bear’s football and track teams on the other. Graveside services, with full military honors, were conducted at Rivercliff Cemetery. All in all, an excellent tribute to a coach and teacher.
